Napa Police: Woman arrested after making store purchase with “play money” bill | Crime and Courts

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Napa organized and filled 385 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a program established via Samaritan’s Purse​ “to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.” Shoeboxes were filled with school supplies, hygiene items, small toys and gifts. “We are blessed to know we will put a smile on 385 children’s faces this year,” said volunteer Mary Helmer.​ Pictured: Members of the church’s St. Elizabeth’s Guild volunteered to assemble boxes, from left, Virginia Means, Sharon Souza, Gillian Roberts, Marjorie Cunningham, Linda Moreno, Marilyn Bennett, Barbara Olmsted, Marjorie Harloff, Diane Watson, and Mary Hamler.​
